User and Expert Interview Transcripts from the Diploma Thesis by Cederic Demoulin: "Increasing User Satisfaction, Engagement and Retention in Life-Tracking Apps for Students"

Context and methodology

This dataset was created for the diploma thesis "Increasing User Satisfaction, Engagement and Retention in Life-Tracking Apps for Students". The thesis examines persuasive technology and visualizations in the context of a self tracking app (https://habits.network) for students. After persusive system design principles where implemented in the app, 4 experts from austrian universities and 10 users where interviewed about their evaluation and experiences respectively. The voice recordings were automatically transcribed using Capcut and then errors were manually corrected for the parts that where used in the thesis.

Technical details

  • 14 `.md` file: 10 for user interviews and 4 for expert interviews.
  • The interviews of Exp1 and Exp2 are in english, all others are in german.
