Description

VieSOFT is a software package for the removal of source structure in very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) data. It contains tools to model the structure from images in the FITS format and to remove the interferometric phase terms from VLBI visibility data in the SWIN (DiFX) format. This software was originally developed for the purpose of correcting the impact of source structure as a systematic error in geodetic VLBI observations, in particular of the VLBI Global Observing System (VGOS). Application of the software to other kinds of VLBI observations is possible. The software has been tested under Linux environments. A user's guide containing installation instructions and details of usage is included.
