Description

Context and methodology

  • The study consists in an investigation on the reactivity of ion beam treated monolayer MoS2. All of the spectra that contain a molybdenum 3d signals are taken on monolayer MoS2/Au. The spectra that don't present these signals are taken on a bare Au substrate.
  • Most files consist of 3 spectra. Respectively pristine, post ion beam exposure and post reaction. Part of the dataset consists in oxidation studies. Files contain 3 sets of spectra measured in parallel. The filename contains the investigated ion beam fluence and the ambient air time exposure. Another part consists in studies on exposure to thiols and follows the same principle. The filename of the remaining files is self-explanatory
  • The datasets consist of raw data from an XPS instrument PHI Versaprobe III, Raman microscopy data, and Kelvin Probe Force Microscopy line scan data. The format of the files has been converted to VAMAS to be accessible to open-source software.

Technical details

  • CasaXPS is recommended for data treatment of VAMAS files

Further details

  • The transmission function of the instrument is already applied on the spectra
