Facts: Synagogue of the Israelitische Kultusgemeinde Wien (Jewish Community Vienna) | Erected 1875–1877; foundation stone laid on October 13, 1875 | Architect: Andreas Streit (with Johannes Schäffer) | Capacity: seating for 234 on the ground floor, 156 on the gallery; extended in 1905 by the addition of a winter prayer hall | Appearance: triple-aisled building with women's galleries, tall façade windows decorated with column capitals
