Four-point bending tests of composite UHPFRC-NC beams with varying layers of UHPFRC and reinforcement ratio were conducted. The load was applied displacement-controlled using a universal hydraulic testing machine. The load and displacement were collected by a load cell and the displacement transducer at the middle of the composite beams. The reinforcement strain was collected by distributed fibre optic sensors (DFOS) during curing and loading. o Description of methods used for data processing The DFOS measurements were processed with the software Matlab. For every specimen, the reinforcement shrinkage strain at the loading day was added to the reinforcement strain during loading. Measurements were taken in the program and exported as a .tsv file: Reinforcement strain data Early reinforcement strain: Reinforcement strain was collected seven days after curing; Reinforcement strain distribution: The strain profile along the reinforcement was analyzed with and without considering shrinkage effect; o Software or instrument-specific information To process and merge the .tsv output from the DFOS measurements and the testing machine, Matlab was used. The merged and condensed data is stored as 20240409_2024-04-09_08-10-20_ch2_gages in this dataset. o Definitions of codes and symbols The data for every specimen are numbered according to the sequence of testing. The day of testing is given as a prefix in the extracted data from the DFOS measurements. Data-specific information: o Count of number of variables, and number of cases or rows A total number of 5 specimens were tested.
